MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to CNN, citing BP, the petroleum giant employs 235 people at the Valhall oilfield.

The barge is 360 feet long (110 meters) and became detached in rough weather while being tugged, a spokesman for Eide Marine Group was quoted as saying by CNN.

Valhall was launched in 1982 and has grown into an enormous oilfield with eight platforms, located in the Norwegian North Sea.
