Photos of the messages spelled out by sky writer planes over the Rose Parade route were shared all over social media on New Year's Day.

The Rose Parade, which includes flower-covered floats and marching bands, is held annually in Pasadena on January 1 and is followed by the Rose Bowl college football game.
