Protest was organized by Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Hind, the all-India organization of Shia clerics, and All-India Shia Muslim Personal Law Board.
On Saturday, the Saudi Interior Ministry announced the execution of al-Nimr, an outspoken critic of the Saudi monarchy, along with 46 other people convicted of terrorism. The move triggered protests in Iran, where demonstrators attacked the Saudi embassy in capital Tehran and the consulate in the city of Mashhad.
