Taking on new personal challenges has always been Zuckerberg's thing — whether it's learning mandarin or reading at least two books per month, Business Insider reported. In 2016 the new father promised himself he'd code his own version of the digital butler JARVIS from the Iron Man film franchise, which controls Tony Stark's home and, sometimes, his life.
Zuckerberg explained that, as a first step, he will be "exploring what technology is already out there".
"Then I'll start teaching it to understand my voice to control everything in our home — music, lights, temperature and so on. I'll teach it to let friends in by looking at their faces when they ring the doorbell. I'll teach it to let me know if anything is going on in Max's room that I need to check on when I'm not with her," Zuckerberg said.

Zuckerberg wrote in the announcement that, when it comes to building things himself, "it's a different kind of rewarding." Throughout his work at Facebook he has been involved in working with engineers on new projects, but this time he is committed to developing this "simple AI" on his own.
"This should be a fun intellectual challenge to code this for myself. I'm looking forward to sharing what I learn over the course of the year."

Zuckerberg announced in December that 99% of his Facebook's shares, worth around $45 billion, would be donated to a limited liability company that will advance "human potential" and "promote equality."
