WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — "We assessed this [coalition] operation has reduced their [Islamic State]revenue by about 30 percent," Warren stated.
The spokesperson has explained that the Daesh, produced 45,000 barrels of oil per day before the Tidal Wave II that targets terrorists’ oil infrastructure.
"It [the production] has been reduced to about 34,000 barrels per day now," Warren said.
Daesh (Islamic State), which is outlawed in many countries including Russia, controls large areas in oil-rich Syria, Iraq and Libya. The terrorists have been relying heavily on revenues from black-market sales of drugs, smuggled crude oil and human trafficking.
