MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Earlier in the day, Duncan submitted the resignation at the first cabinet meeting of the year.
"Mr. Prime Minister, you submitted your resignation and that of the government. I accept it," the West African republic’s president said, as cited by the Koaci.com news portal.
The decision is reportedly aimed at boosting the efficiency of the state’s governance.
According to the news outlet, a new government will be formed in a week at the earliest.
