STOCKHOLM (Sputnik) — The plane, which was en route from Oslo to Norway’s Tromso, issued a distress call at 12.30 a.m. local time (23:30 GMT, January 7) before crashing in the mountainous area near the Norwegian border, The Local newspaper said.
Norwegian rescue teams have already located the wreckage, but have not yet reached the crash site due to a complex terrain.
It is unclear if the two pilots, Spanish and French citizens, survived the crash, the news outlet added.
