MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Turkey’s law enforcement has detained three people suspected in killing a Syrian media worker in the country’s north, local media reported Sunday.
The Islamic State (ISIL, or Daesh) murdered prominent Syrian journalist Naji Jerf, known for his documentaries about the terrorist group’s atrocities, in late December.
Turkish police arrested one suspect and two people assisting him, the Hurriyet Daily News said.
Daesh is a militant jihadist organization operating mainly in Syria and Iraq. It is outlawed in many countries, including Russia.
