Televisions, bicycles, motorcycles, even cars. Daesh launched a new online store aimed at recruiting newcomers from India.

Attempting to lure new recruits, Daesh launched an online retailer which offers massive deals on looted items, aimed at internet users in India.

Daesh previously used online retail to sell merchandise including t-shirts and hoodies bearing its insignia in Turkey and Malaysia. On January 9, the group reportedly hacked a television channel on Egyptian satellite network NileSat to broadcast its propaganda videos to the city of Mosul.

"Young people in many countries, including India, are easy to lure with expensive things. Under this 'sauce,' young people without reservations step on the path of jihad. We need to understand that Daesh is an unprincipled organization, ready to do anything to attract new recruits," retired Indian Army general Afsar Karim told Sputnik.

The site notes that stores selling looted goods have opened in Iraqi and Syria, on territories controlled by Daesh.

"In this way, Daesh is also trying to create its own economy. The site was created also with the goal of rewarding loyalty to Daesh, above all, fighters. Also, this site is an attempt to show that people living on territories captured by Daesh are living normal lives, and the jihadis live even etter because they have an entire array of sources of income," retired Indian Army colonel G. C. Khaana told Sputnik.
