BELGRADE (Sputnik) — Russia is ready to deliver in Serbia any weapons allowed for export, the Russian deputy prime minister told Sputnik.
"Russia is ready to supply all weapons systems not forbidden to export, but our experts have to determine which is optimal for Serbia and, secondly, what the Serbs can actually afford," Dmitry Rogozin said in an interview.
On Monday, the Russian official said Russia had been closely studying a request for defensive weapons filed by Serbia in the face of increased risks to the Balkan state’s national security.
Rogozin was in the Serbian capital of Belgrade on Monday where he met with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic. He presented the head of the Serbian government with a mock-up of a Russia-made S-300 air defense system.
