WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter has announced he will travel to Paris next week to discuss with western partners how the US-led coalition can be more effective in its fight against the Islamic State (ISIL or Daesh) terrorist group.
"I also described yesterday the need for members of the global coalition to do more, and I'll be travelling to Paris next week to discuss that with my counterparts from France, Australia, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom," Carter said at the US Central Command’s Air Base in Florida on Thursday.
