The Russian Interior Ministry sent Dobrynya to their French counterparts after Diesel, a 7-year-old police dog, was killed during the siege in Saint-Denis that targeted Daesh terrorists involved in the Paris attacks last November last year.
According to the report from the Russian Interior Ministry, the puppy is growing up well: he's healthy, playful and is already well known for his big appetite.
But most importantly, Dobryanya is no longer alone. He's found himself a girlfriend, Ali, a 4-year-old Belgian Malinois. The two puppies are now growing up together, playing and beginning to learn new commands.
Dobrynya is expected to serve in the elite RAID unit of French police. For now, the puppy can spend time playing with his girlfriend, but when he turns 11 months old his formal police duties will begin.
