MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The European Parliament has been pushing for the “harmonised identification of critical operators in energy, transport, health or banking fields, which will have to fulfil security measures and notify significant cyber incidents,” rapporteur Andreas Schwab said, as quoted in the statement.
The rules were approved by 34 votes to 2, according to the statement. They will now need to be endorsed by the European Council and the European Parliament to enter into force.
