MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The air force carried out the airstrike from an unmanned aerial vehicle in the Achin district in the Nangarhar Province, the Khaama Press agency reported.
Ghalib Mujahid, the governor of the Achin district, has confirmed media reports on the elimination of a "key IS leader," whose name was not disclosed. The militant is believed to be of Pakistani origin.
According to the agency, terrorist groups, including Daesh, are active in remote areas of the Nangarhar Province.
