"What the Swedish FM said is outrageous, it's immoral it's unjust," Netanyahu said on Thursday, as quoted by Haaretz, adding that the allegations are "wrong" and "it singles out Israel in an absurd way… and it's stupid."
Despite Wallstrom’s remarks, Netanyahu said Israel’s ties with European countries were "very good."
Palestinians seek diplomatic and economic recognition for their independent state on the territories of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, partially occupied by Israel, and the Gaza Strip. Israel has been building settlements on the occupied territories.
The decades-long conflict between the Palestinians and Israelis has recently seen increased tensions, with dozens of mutual attacks having taken place since early September, taking the lives of over 100 people, mostly Palestinians.
