MOSCOW (Sputnik), Daria Chernyshova – The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) takes the allegations of the massacre in Syria very seriously as it concerns civilians, yet cannot comment any further until the incident is confirmed, a spokesperson at the ICRC Geneva office told Sputnik on Sunday.
Witnesses in the western province of Deir ez-Zor told Sputnik late Saturday that 280 mostly women, children and the elderly were killed for cooperating with the Syrian army.

According to local media reports, the massacre took place in al-Bagilya village.
Late on Saturday, Deir ez-Zor Governor Mohammad Qaddur Ajnyyja told Sputnik that Syrian armed forces have liberated the settlement.
