CAIRO (Sputnik) – Russia imposed ban on flights to Egypt due to security concerns following a Russian-operated Airbus A321 crash over the Egypt's Sinai Peninsula in October that killed all 224 people on board, after an explosive device detonated in the passenger compartment.
"Russian security delegation arrived in Cairo today at dawn to review security measures adopted in Egyptian airports," Rahma said.
The spokesman added that the ministry was trying to assist the delegation and ease its operations. He stressed that Egypt would welcome every delegation that wanted to ensure that Egyptian airports were of high security standards.
