The Russian embassy in Afghanistan has taken additional security measures following a bomb explosion outside the embassy building in the capital, Kabul, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.
Russian embassy staff in Kabul told Sputnik "an explosion was heard clearly."

According to Sputnik's source, the embassy staff were not injured. The source also added that the Russian embassy was not the target of the attack.

According to the recent reports, seven people are reported dead and 25 — injured. Firefighters are currently battling fire in a building in front of the Russian embassy.
