MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The incident happened in October but was only made public by police on Thursday, the Connecticut Post newspaper said.
Ansonia police Lt. Andrew Cota said the 15-year-old has not been charged, but a report on him has been forwarded to the US Department of Homeland Security.
"The allegation is that the male was allegedly making pro ISIS statements during the Pledge of Allegiance," Cota said in a press release, cited by the outlet.
The Daesh militant group is a terrorist organization outlawed in the United States, the European Union and Russia, as well other countries.
