"The program may be signed at the 105th session of the International Labour Conference, which is due to take place in June [2016] in Geneva," the ministry said in a statement.
According to Topilin, as quoted in the statement, Russia and the ILO are ready to start developing a draft of the program to cover the next period soon.
The new program may include such issues as the legalization of the labor relations, labor protection, youth unemployment, employment of disabled people and strengthening of social partnership, Topilin said following the meeting with Ryder.
Guy Ryder emphasized at his turn that Russia is one of the leading countries in terms of rate of ratification of ILO conventions.
The 2013-2016 cooperation program between Russia and the ILO was signed in December 2012. Its key goals include the effective implementation of basic principles and rights in the labor sphere, employment and labor market development, as well as improving the social protection system.
