MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ibrahim Rahimpur expressed hope on Tuesday that Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will be able to visit Tehran as early as in three months.
"We are hoping that the Russian minister will visit Iran this year, possibly, in three months. We are discussing this issue," Rahimpur told RIA Novosti during an unofficial visit to Moscow.
"The situation in the region shows the need for such a visit, and we certainly hope that it will take place," the Iranian diplomat stressed.
