MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Ukrainian military representatives have unexpectedly quit their work at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) tasked with observing ceasefire in eastern Ukraine, the Russian envoy to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) said Tuesday.
"It has become known that the Ukrainian military officers have received orders to stop their JCCC-related work in almost all areas of the Donetsk People's Republic [DPR]. Only two officers are still left, in one of the areas," Alexander Lukashevich said in an interview with Rossiya-24 television.
The DPR authorities said on Monday that Kiev representatives at the JCCC were recalled as early as on January 23.
