Earlier, during a PACE session, Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev claimed that Crimea is part of Ukraine, and Ukraine itself is a part of Europe.

Crimea rejoined Russia in March 2014, after more than 96 percent of voters in a referendum held among the local electorate were cast in favor of seceding from Ukraine and joining Russia.
