ASHGABAT (Sputnik) – The intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation has already begun its work very actively, Lavrov added.
"We are interested in coordinating our actions on issues countering terrorist threats, drug trafficking, and organized crime," Lavrov said during a meeting with Turkmen President Gurbangula Berdymukhamedov in Ashgabat.
The foreign minister also highlighted the qualitative changes made in bilateral cooperation, including in agriculture and medicine.
"We appreciate the attention you pay to humanitarian and cultural relations," he added, expressing hope that this trend would be reinforced.
