MOSCOW (Sputnik), Alexander Mosesov – Members and supporters of right-wing Britain First party marched through Bury Park, a community in Luton, Bedfordshire, with a predominantly Asian population, carrying wooden crosses. The march reportedly caused anger among some local Muslims, with the activists reporting being attacked and pelted with eggs.
"At the moment, the investigation is still ongoing and at the moment, no arrests have been made. We have evidence available to us and we are looking into the possibility whether on both sides any crimes have been committed… Several allegations have been made," the press service said.
Earlier in the day, the leader of the Britain First party, Paul Golding, told Sputnik that Luton, a once-working class town, had been turned into what he described as a "hotbed" for terrorism, extremism and hate preaching. He also accused Luton police of fabricating charges against the party.
