MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the poll, a total of 33.7 percent of French respondents said they were afraid of the threat of international terrorism. The French respondents answered a survey a week after a series of terror attacks by militants linked to Daesh terrorist group in Paris on November 13, which killed 130 people and wounded hundreds. The group is prohibited in many countries including Russia.
The poll was conducted in other countries as well. According to the survey, over 25 percent of Saudi population are worried about armed conflicts, the figure that exceeds the average score by over 15 percent.
Increasing population growth is the issue that bothers British respondents more than any other nation answering the survey amid the politicization of immigration.
As for climate change, which the poll revealed to be the third most alarming global challenge, less than 11 percent of those surveyed in the United Kingdom, the United States and Saudi Arabia are concerned about the issue.
The survey was conducted in 17 countries throughout Asia, North America, Europe, the Middle East and Australia in November-December 2015.
