MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The launch of a Russian Proton-M carrier rocket with the European Eutelsat 9B communications satellite is scheduled for Saturday, Russian Federal Space Agency Roscosmos’s spokesperson said Friday.
"The launch of the Proton-M carrier rocket, which is to put into orbit the Breeze-M upper stage with a European Eutelsat 9B communications satellite, is set for January 30 at 01.20 a.m. MSK [10:20 GMT] from the Baikonur space center," the spokesperson told RIA Novosti.
The launch was previously postponed due to weather-related logistical issues.
The Eutelsat 9B satellite is designed to provide digital television and data services in Scandinavia and the Baltic countries.
