MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The meeting was held in Istanbul's Dolmabahce palace behind closed doors.
On Thursday, Turkish Foreign Ministry said that Klimkin's visit would be a part of preparations for the fifth Turkey-Ukraine High Level Strategic Council Meeting, expected to be held in the following months.
According to the Turkish side, the two ministers were expected to discuss bilateral cooperation, current situation in the Black Sea region and conflict-torn eastern Ukraine, as well as rights of Crimean tatars.
