MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On January 26-27, the Russian delegation, headed by Naryshkin, arrived in Egypt to discuss bilateral cooperation between the countries, including in the spheres of tourism and economy.
"Currently, there are active negotiations on the possibility of using national currencies in mutual settlements in the area of trade. If we talk about investments, there is a so-called project of the financing platform, the development of which is underway," Naryshkin said in an interview with the Russian TV Tsentr television channel.
In early 2015, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the country was ready for practising operations in national currencies in trade with Egypt, and the issue was discussed in detail at the level of the relevant government agencies.
