07:30 GMT 31.01.2016 (Updated: 08:19 GMT 31.01.2016) At least 12 people were killed in a fire at the sewing factory located in the eastern part of Moscow, according to a source in the region's emergency services.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The fire that started overnight into Sunday was put out at about 0:55 local time (21:55 GMT, Saturday). Earlier reports put the number of victims at nine.
Earlier in the day, Russia's Investigative Committee spokeswoman Yulia Ivanova told RIA Novosti the Committee opened an investigation into the fire, adding that they were working out different theories of the fire outbreak, including arson.
