MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Moscow strongly condemns the recent Boko Haram attacks in Nigeria, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Monday.
"On January 30-31, terrorist attacks on a number of settlements, as well as a camp for refugees and internally displaced persons took place in northeastern Nigeria. As a result, over 80 people were killed… We strongly condemn another bloody terrorist attack against civilians," the ministry said in a statement.
"We express our solidarity with the people and government of Nigeria and the deepest condolences to the families of the victims," the statement reads.
The ministry noted that no Russians were among the victims.
