MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Brussels and Washington managed to reach an agreement, which reportedly prevents EU regulators from restricting commercial digital data transfer, the spokesman for the EU Commission said Tuesday.

The deal on the transfer of personal data is expected to substitute EU-US Safe Harbour agreement that was in place since 2000 and was proclaimed invalid by the European Court of Justice in October as not providing adequate personal data protection.
