A new Government Business Council/GovExec.com poll found that 14% would “definitely” consider leaving their jobs, with another 11% said they would “maybe” leave.
While it is no surprise that many of those who would consider quitting are Democrats, with 48% claiming party membership considering quitting, what is surprising is that the majority of those who participated in the poll hold senior positions.
The survey also asked how embarrassed workers would be under each candidate. Topping the shame chart was Trump, with 59%, followed by Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton, with 49% of those polled saying she would be an embarrassment.
The poll was conducted January 20-26, 2016, and 688 federal employees participated in the survey. Those polled included members of the Senior Executive Service and representatives from at least 30 federal civilian and defense agencies. The margin of error is +/-4%.
