MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Tuesday, Venezuela’s Minister of Petroleum and President of PDVSA, Eulogio Del Pino, held a meeting with Vice President of Gazprombank Boris Ivanov in Moscow as part of Del Pino’s tour of OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) and non-OPEC countries organized in an effort to promote a balance of oil prices.
"Gazprombank confirmed its willingness to continue strengthening the alliance with the Venezuelan state oil company," the PDVSA statement published Tuesday read.
The sides also reviewed their fruitful cooperation through Petrozamora, the joint PDVSA-Gazprombank project for the exploitation of mature fields in western Venezuela.
Del Pino was in Moscow for two days and met with Igor Sechin, who is the head of Russian oil giant Rosneft, as well as Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak.
