LONDON (Sputnik) — Donor countries are planning to allocate over $10 billion until 2020 to tackle consequences of the Syrian crisis, the co-hosts of the Syria donor conference in London (United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, Kuwait and the United Nations) said in a declaration Thursday.
"We have pledged over 10 billion dollars — 5.6 billion for 2016 and a further 5.1 billion has been committed for 2017-2020," the declaration reads.
Multilateral development banks and donors pledged an additional $40 billion in loans, according to the document.
