MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Several countries have requested that military contact with Russia not be advertised because of “severe tongue-lashing” from Brussels, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov said Friday.
“The wave of attempts to isolate Russia has subsided. A meeting between the defense ministries of Russia and France, and then later between the chiefs of staff of both countries occurred. [Russian] Army General Valery Gerasimov has spoken with his US colleague twice. And we’ve already had high-ranking delegations from Great Britain, Germany, and Switzerland. Others have also come, but because of severe tongue-lashing from Brussels, they as that their contacts not be advertised,” Antonov told journalists.
