"As a result, the European Union itself is suffering because of this situation with Russia. There is no logic in it," Galloway said.
According to the politician, the sanctions should be introduced against individuals who commit crimes, for example those responsible for Alexander Litvinenko's death.
In 2014, the EU and the US imposed a series of economic sanctions on Russia's energy, banking and defense sectors, citing its alleged involvement in Ukraine's internal affairs. Moscow has denied the allegations.
George Gallow is a British politician, journalist and a member of the British Parliament since 1987. Galloway supported Russian military involvement in Syria saying that " Russia begins the end of the new fascism of Daesh."
