Russian Finance Ministry Proposes to Hike Excise Duties on Car Fuel
The Russian Finance Ministry proposed to increase excise duties on gasoline by 2 rubles ($0,025) and diesel by 1 ruble, starting from April 1, to raise the state budget, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said Saturday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to Siluanov, such a move would add 80 billion rubles ($1 billion) to the state budget in 2016.
“On diesel and gasoline. Two rubles on gasoline and 1 ruble on diesel. This should not affect the prices for customers,” Siluanov said.
