Hillary Clinton supporters have accused female supporters of Bernie Sanders of betraying their gender.

"There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other," former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said on Friday, referring to women who support Sanders. In an interview, feminist icon Gloria Steinem inferred that women only support Sanders by saying "that’s where the boys are."

Steinem has since apologized for her remarks.
