MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The police watchdog failed to investigate claims that Mohammed Ramadan was tortured in order to extract a confession, The Guardian newspaper reported.
Ramadan, who was arrested in 2014, was later convicted of participating in a bomb attack and sentenced to death after his confession. Ramadan's family called on the UK authorities to investigate the torture allegations.
