Russia's Su-24 and Su-25 Jets Leave for Mission From Syria's Latakia Base
13:36 GMT 10.02.2016 (Updated: 06:24 GMT 11.02.2016) Russian Su-24 and Su-25 jets and Mi-25 helicopters continue their mission in Syria, operating from the Hmeymim airbase in Latakia.
Russia runs an air base, Hmeymim, in the western Syrian province of Latakia, from where it is carrying out airstrikes on Islamist positions in the country. Russian warplanes have been flying bombing missions in the country at the request of President Bashar Assad since September 30, 2015.
