MOSCOW (Sputnik) – French Ambassador to Russia Jean-Maurice Ripert suggested that by Thursday evening there would be a new government in France.
"I am currently preparing a visit of other ministers. We will, possibly, have a new government in France this evening," Ripert stated, speaking in the Russian Federation Council, the parliament’s upper house.
French President Francois Hollande is due to announce a government reshuffle later on Thursday.
Earlier this week, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius announced he would soon step down from his post following the presidential nomination to head the country’s Constitutional Court.
