“These reports are obviously misinformation. The contents of the reports by South Korean and Russian media outlets differ considerably from the contents of the explanations given by the representative of the National Intelligence Service of the Republic of Korea to the lawmakers of the National Assembly during closed parliamentary hearings. There is absolutely no reference in the statement by the head of the NIS on the transfer of Russian technology or components to the North Korean side that was approved by the Russian government,” the source told RIA Novosti.
He said the information was distorted by several news services.
“Several media, which received this information, published the statements after distorting the contents of the NIS’s explanation. WE regret the misunderstanding that arose because of this,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said citing an explanation from South Korea.
