MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia is not going to ease its counter-measures in response to Western sanctions at this point despite numerous appeals by some countries and foreign businesses, Deputy prime Minister Sergei Prikhodko said Thursday.
"The food embargo has been introduced because we believe that our state interests have been harmed. And the issue of lifting the so-called counter-sanctions by Russia is not on the agenda at this point," Prikhodko told reporters.
"It is not about separate countries, it is about [the West] revising the wrong decision, which, as reality shows, hurts them more than it does hurt us," Prikhodko stressed.
