OREL (Russia) (Sputnik) – A delegation of German lawmakers may visit Russia this fall, a member of the German parliament and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) said Friday.
"There is a Russian-German parliamentary group. A visit to Russia is planned in September this year," Andrej Hunko said on the sidelines of the economic forum in the western Russian city of Orel.
Hunko, a left-wing Die Link party member and deputy chair of the Unified European Left, clarified that he was not a member of the parliamentary group and was unable to name the German lawmakers planning their Russia visit.
He explained that the delegation would be represented by members of each faction of the German legislature.
