CAIRO (Sputnik) – One person has died and over 20 were injured after a mosque under construction in the northern Egyptian province of Kafr Sheikh collapsed on Saturday.
The cause of the death among one of the local construction workers and injuries to his colleagues was the fallen roof, according to the Al Youm El Sabea newspaper.
Local media noted a number of technical violations during the mosque’s construction process.
