Russia, China Express Concern Over N Korea's Breach of International Law
TOKYO (Sputnik) Seoul wants to cooperate with Moscow and Beijing on the issue of response to Pyongyang’s recent nuclear test and rocket launch, South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se said Saturday as cited by local media.

"In the United Nations 70-year history, only North Korea has the distinction of having disregarded a countless number of UNSC resolutions, tested four nuclear devices and fired off six long range missiles," Yun said, as quoted by the Yonhap news agency.

According to Yonhap, the minister pointed out that while there are some differences among states on sanctions that need to be imposed on Pyongyang in light of its UN resolution violations, all agree in that the country must pay for its actions.

"China and Russia are frustrated and angry so the aim is to engage in talks with these countries," Yun said, according to the media.

Last weekend, North Korea fired a long-range rocket to allegedly put a satellite into orbit, holding a rocket almost identical to ones used by Pyongyang to launch nuclear weapons. A UN Security Council resolution prohibits North Korea from firing rockets that could be used as ballistic missiles.

In January, Pyongyang declared that it had successfully carried out a hydrogen bomb test, triggering condemnation from the international community.
