"Weapons are becoming more intelligent and now we are introducing computer technology and robotics as means of armament, and exactly this can become a basis for creation of sophisticated equipment of medical purposes," Rogozin told reporters.
The official said that the Russian defense industry was already sharing technologies with civilian healthcare.
Earlier on Saturday, Russia’s Fund for Perspective Research demonstrated its technologies at an exhibition in the city of Klimovsk in Moscow Region, including the ones used for rescuing submariners and people on the battlefield. The researchers also presented their work in field of tumor immunology as well as modern technology in creating virtual models of the human body and planning surgery.
The Fund for Perspective Research was founded in 2013 to strengthen research and production of technology for the Russian military.
