MOSCOW (Sputnik) — In January, a UK inquiry into the death of Litvinenko found the Russian authorities responsible for the murder, despite failing to prove that the polonium-210 used to poison the former agent came from Russia.
"You’ve mentioned some report by some retired judge, in which (I just took a look out of interest) practically every paragraph and each section opens with the word ‘probably’. What is there to comment on? It is an unofficial report by a retired person who offers his personal judgment," Medvedev told the Euronews television channel.
Russia can write many similar reports or have former judges prepare papers, according to Medvedev.
"They have no value whatsoever and so there will be no reaction to this… As for any legal action, this is simply ridiculous. We don’t need this and the Russian Federation will never sue any country over some foolish fabrications," the Russian prime minister stressed.
