MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, the poll titled, "Should the UK and the US be tougher towards Vladimir Putin?" was opened on the newspaper's website, following remarks from UK Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond accusing Moscow of airstrikes against the Syrian opposition.

According to the poll’s interim results, three quarters of respondents chose the option, "No — We shouldn't risk what relationship we have," in answer to the poll's titular question.

The alternative option, "Yes — Russia is out of control," was chosen by a minority of participants according to the latest poll results.
